The LHMC Soapbox Race Returns for 2025 with More Entries Than Ever Before

Planning is well underway for the 2025 Soapbox Race, with the course already in its preliminary design phase! Mark your calendars—this year’s race will take place on Sunday, 30th March 2025 at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, held during the break between rounds 1 and 2 of the 5 Nations British Rallycross Championship.

Competitors can look forward to navigating a challenging course featuring chicanes, obstacles, and surprises, all while racing against the clock for the chance to win the top prize of £200. With a lively atmosphere and enthusiastic crowds, it’s set to be a day to remember!

More Than Just Racing

As part of the Soapbox Race, you’ll also be immersed in the buzz of a major motorsport event. The paddock will be packed with 5 Nations British Rallycross Championship teams, alongside an array of locally sourced, freshly prepared food and drink options to keep everyone fueled throughout the day.

A Creative Challenge for All

To build off last year, we’re again aiming to attract a diverse group of competitors hailing from local schools and colleges, racing teams, small businesses, and sports clubs. Not only will teams compete for the £200 prize, but they’ll also have the chance to showcase their creativity, with awards for the most imaginative soapbox designs. It’s a unique opportunity for organisations to promote themselves, engage with the community, and enjoy a day full of excitement and friendly competition.
